Javier Guerra

Managing Partner

Javier has been investing in renewable energy since 2006 through several Private Equity funds, where he has deployed over €1.5b across 6 countries. In 2010 he co-founded WHEB Infrastructure, where he was a member of the investment committee, responsible for origination and execution of investments, and portfolio management and optimization. Prior to that, he was involved in the creation of a €300m solar energy fund, where he played a key role in the sourcing, acquisition, construction and financing of ca 300MW of solar PV plants. Javier has executed over 40 transactions in the renewable energy space.

Previously he worked in investment banking and strategic consulting. Javier is a member of the advisory board of Linse Capital III, a technology venture capital fund based in Palo Alto.

Javier has attended Harvard Business School Executive Education on Private Equity, he holds a diploma from IESE Business School’s General Management Program, he completed a Grande Ecole program at ESCP Europe in Paris, holds an MSc in Management from CASS Business School in London and a MA in East Asian Studies. He speaks Spanish, English, French and Italian.

Mohsen Khairaldin García

Mohsen has over 12 years of experience in energy infrastructure, having been involved in €1b of investments. Between 2018 and 2020 he led WElink Energy’s investments in renewable energy projects in Africa, the Middle East and other emerging markets, including the origination, negotiation, acquisition and financial structuring of over 500 MW at various stages of development.

Prior to that, he played a key role for WElink Energy in the creation of a €500m co-investment platform for a portfolio of renewable energy projects in Portugal and Spain, including the negotiation of “Europe’s largest corporate solar PV PPA”. Previously, he was responsible at Shell for investments in Oil & Gas projects in several markets. Mohsen is a senior advisor to Finergreen a top-5 global financial advisory boutique focussed on renewables transactions. Mohsen holds a degree in Politics and Economics from the London School of Economics and an MBA from London Business School. He is fluent in English, Spanish, Arabic and French.

Eduardo Soria

Over 15 years of experience in the renewable energy industry at an international level, having been involved in the negotiation, development, and expansion of renewable energy activities in countries such as the USA, Italy, France, UKm, Canada, Mexico, Japan, Chile and Spain. At Vector Cuatro he was in charge, as a partner, of business development worldwide, with responsibility for the generation of commercial opportunities and expansion to new markets, including market intelligence, marketing and design of growth strategies. Prior to that, he started his activity in renewable energy at the Spanish Institute for Energy Saving and Diversification (IDAE) and founded the Renewable Energy Magazine, before becoming an advisor to renewable energy funds in Italy and Spain.

Since 2018 he has served as Operating Partner of Everwood Capital’s IV fund. He is an environmental scientist, holds an MBA from INSEAD and has undergone technical training at MIT. Eduardo is fluent in English, Spanish, French and Italian.

Antonio Carrión de Lorenzo

With over 20 years of experience in the renewable energy industry, Antonio is focused on engineering, development, and technical asset management. Since 2018 he has served as an Operating Partner of Everwood Capital’s IV fund. He is also specialized in developing and implementing commercial strategies at an international level.

Antonio Carrión was Founder and Director at Vector Cuatro as well as Director of Technical Operations, Transactions and Business Development. He participated in the development, management and engineering of renewable energy projects, with a combined international track record of more than 1.1 GW.

Prior to that, he was in charge of North American business development and technical affairs at CESA Wind Corporation, having led international projects from a technical and strategic perspective totalling 1.4 GW. He is an Industrial Engineer (ICAI) fluent in English and Spanish.

Luis Martínez

Luis brings over a decade of expertise in the renewable energy sector, with a career spanning Spain and the United Kingdom. Since 2016, he has played a pivotal role at Hive Energy, recognized as the UK’s Highest Pure Play Developer by Solar Intelligence and ranked third among British developers by Bloomberg New Energy Finance in 2015. As Co-Founder and General Manager, Luis successfully established Hive Energy’s Spanish office and is currently leading the development of a 1.5 GW pipeline of solar projects across more than 30 sites in Spain.

Prior to his tenure at Hive Energy, Luis held several positions in finance, banking and energy, including Senior Manager of Business Development & M&A for the EMEA region at SunEdison. His extensive and diverse professional background has provided him with exceptional industry knowledge and strategic insight, making him a key contributor to the advancement of renewable energy initiatives. Luis holds a degree in Business Administration and Management, as well as an MBA from Instituto de Empresa (IE).

Matías Gallego

With 17 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, Matias has developed his career mainly in the areas of construction, operation and asset management, having also participated in project development and investments in ‘green’ projects. Matías was Director of Asset Management at Vector Cuatro with direct responsibility for the operation of photovoltaic and wind farms with an aggregate capacity of 2.5 GW in 10 countries.

Previously, he has been directly involved in the provision of technical advisory and engineering services at Vector Cuatro and Langley Renovables, as well as in the construction, commissioning and maintenance of numerous utility scale PV plants in Spain and Italy with Isofoton. Recently, Matías Gallego has combined his work as Technical Manager at Circle Energy, a leading project developer in Spain, and as Technical Director of Everwood Capital’s Fund IV. Matías holds a degree in Physics from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and is fluent in Spanish, Italian and English​.

Juan Lopez

Over the past 20 years Juan has accumulated extensive experience in renewable energy. Since 2018 he has served as Operating Partner of Everwood Capital’s IV fund. He founded Langley Renovables, which was later integrated into Vector Cuatro Group. For almost 10 years he was in charge of the business line’s Technical Services worldwide, managing a team of more than 20 engineers serving clients in over 20 countries with 15+ GW of projects.

Prior to that, he was directly involved in the development of over 325 MW of wind farms and construction totalling 50 MW. Prior to that, at Isofoton he was responsible for the development, design and construction supervision of several multi-megawatt photovoltaic projects. He is an industrial engineer and is fluent in Spanish and English.

Vicente Payá

Vicente brings a wealth of experience in renewable energy projects, having dedicated several years to the commercial development and expansion of green businesses across both Europe and LATAM. As a partner at Circle Energy, he spearheaded the development team, achieving a track record of over 600 megawatts developed in Spain. He also served as Head of Origination at Everwood Capital.

Prior to his involvement in the renewable energy sector, Vicente spent four years at PwC, as an international tax manager and contributed to the M&A team’s success. Vicente’s academic background includes a double degree in Business Management and Law from the University of Valencia.

Francisco Solchaga

Francisco Solchaga, Partner of the Energy Department of Araoz & Rueda, brings an impressive career spanning more than two decades, with a strong emphasis on the renewable energy sector.

His expertise in this field is extensive, making him a trusted advisor on projects encompassing promotion, construction, financing, and operation of energy projects. Francisco excels in handling both contractual and regulatory aspects, offering guidance to all stakeholders involved in a project, including project developers, contractors, financing institutions, project buyers and sellers, as well as the managers of operational photovoltaic plants. In addition to his advisory role, Francisco possesses an in-depth understanding of the regulatory landscape within the energy sector. Furthermore, he boasts a distinguished track record in managing investment and renewable energy companies, further solidifying his standing in the industry. Francisco holds a degree in Law from the University of Zaragoza, where he received the Extraordinary Prize for his outstanding academic achievements. He commenced his legal career as an associate at Uría Menéndez, where he gained valuable experience in mergers and acquisitions and securities markets before joining Araoz & Rueda in 2000.
